This week for That’s My Story and I’m Sticking To It, I’ll be telling you who I think the winners will be for Cyber Sunday.

Before I get to the actual matches, there’s a few general things about the PPV that I want to mention because it effects the possible matches. If you’re reading this then you know that the concept of the PPV is the “WWE universe” can vote for various elements of the matches but is the voting legit? Probably not but if you think it is and want to waste $0.99 on a vote then send a text. Another thing about the PPV itself is that this PPV as well as previous Cyber Sunday PPVs seems to be a PPV based on spectacle but with no backing or real substance. More specifically, I don’t think the event itself will have any major effect on current storylines or further storylines. Along with that you have to consider that there was just a PPV three weeks ago and as I’ve said many times in the past, that really isn’t enough time of build up to justify a PPV. Now, let’s get to the matches.

The options for that pick the tag team match are Jamie Noble/Mickie James v.s. Regal/Layla, Morrison/Miz v.s. Cryme Tyme, or CM Punk/Kofi v.s. Dibiase/Rhodes. Rigged or not Noble’s match isn’t getting voted in for this one. If Cryme Tyme’s match gets voted in, I’d expect them to get the victory. No particular reason for that it’s just a guess because I don’t think their match will get voted in but I have to say this about Cryme Tyme, they are pure entertainment and they add a lot to the tag division on Raw. Punk/Kofi v.s. Rhodes/Dibiase is the match that I think will happen for a few different reasons. It would be a tag title match and Punk in a match adds more star power to the show. Those two elements add the most of the possibilities for teams so it would make sense to pick the match with the most to add to the PPV. That being said, I’ll predict that Rhodes and Dibiase retain the title with some interference from Manu.

The IC title match will probably be comic gold as it will be Santio v.s. Goldust, Roddy Piper, or The Honky Tonk man. For the vote, I’ll assume Piper or Honky gets the vote but either way I don’t expect Santio to lose the title. I’d rather see Piper than Honky but since the WWE has been pushing the “Honkameter” Santino might be wrestling the Honky Tonk Man. A side note to the Honky Tonk Man, if you’ve seen or heard any of his interviews in the past few years you know that he is a very rude and bitter has been that is trying to cling to the spot light of twenty years ago. More evidence of that is when Honky was at an indy show a few years ago and I saw a little kid ask him to pose for a picture with him and Honky tells this kid who had to be six or something “that will costs you ten bucks.” There was no reason for Honky to be rude to the little kid and he is a bitter has been, which is why I’m never going to be a fan of the cheap Elvis rip off. Speaking of $10, that has been couldn’t pay me $10 and buy me a mountain dew to take a picture with him. Ha Ha Okay, enough of a rant burying the Honky Tonk Man.

The choices for the ECW title match will be for Matt Hardy to defend against Mark Henry, Finlay, or Evan Bourne. I think Bourne will get the vote but no matter who actually does, I will predict that Hardy retains the ECW title. I hope that Bourne gets the vote because Hardy/Bourne is a potential show stealer and could be the start of a really great feud that could have some great matches. While on the topic of Bourne, I have to say that I'm surprised that he is getting the spotlight he's been getting because usually a wrestler his size is eventually just a jobber but in my opinon, it's a good decision that Bourne is actually getting a chance to have a WWE career, because while 25 flips are the standard for the current generation of young wrestlers, Bourne is among the best high flyers in all of wrestling today. His percision is what makes him stand out from the pack and he's adapted his style very well to fit into WWE programming. I doubt you will see Bourne main event Wrestlemania anytime soon but if the WWE continues to push him especially keeping the association with Rey Mysterio, Bourne could really become a star.

The Rey/Kane match has the options for a 2 of 3 falls match, falls count anywhere match, or a no holds barred match. I have to say right from the start, this feud probably won’t conclude until Survivor Series so when I view the match at Cyber Sunday I would think it’s just going to be a building block to further the feud, which is why I’ll predict Rey will get the victory. I say this because at No Mercy Kane hit Rey with a chair, which caused the match to be stopped so if Rey gets the victory at Cyber Sunday it sets up the rubber match so to speak at Survivor Series, which has traditionally been the WWE’s premiere fall PPV.

The Big Show/Undertaker match will be a Last Man Standing, I Quit, or a knock match. Depending on the stipulation, I think this could be a decent match but I don’t really ever expect too much from a match that involves The Big Show. Once again, I have to say that this will be another builder to Survivor Series, where I would expect The Undertaker to finally get his revenge on Vicki and Big Show. Since I don’t think Undertaker will get any revenge until Survivor Series, I’ll predict the Big Show to get the win at Cyber Sunday.

The World Heavy Weight title match is obvious that Jericho is retaining the title because Batista is more or less the standard “we need a main event challenger so let’s throw him in the match” wrestler for the WWE so there’s no way Jericho is losing the title. The special ref concept is interesting and adds some intrigue to the match but I just can’t see Jericho losing the title at the PPV.

The WWE title match options are Triple H v.s. Jeff Hardy or Hardy and Koslov in a triple threat match. I’m going to keep this short just for the sake of time. There’s no way Triple H is going to lose the title so you can expect Triple H to get his usual main event win at a PPV.

Overall, I think Cyber Sunday will be a decent PPV but I don’t know if it will actually be worth the $40 to order it because as I said, it’s more spectacle with no real substance for the show.

Until next week
