ECW starts with WWE staff members removing the photos from Armando Estrada's office. Estrada came in and asked what was going on. Theodore Long walks in and says that he is the General Manager of ECW now.

CM Punk b. Tommy Dreamer, Chavo Guerrero, and John Morrison in a fatal-four way match. Chavo went off the top rope with a frog splash on Dreamer but CM Punk was able to hit Go To Sleep on Chavo to get the pinfall and the victory.

Backstage, Long hands Estrada a letter from the board of directors naming him the new ECW General Manager. He tells Armando that he will still be getting paid as a wrestler. Armando asks Long for his help. Teddy tells Estrada that will face Matt Hardy tonight.

Shelton Benjamin b. Matt Sydal via count out with Kofi Kingdom joining Tazz and Mike Adamle on commentary. The match ended when Shelton gave Sydal a powerbomb onto Kofi. The match was Sydal's WWE television debut.

WWE United States Champion Matt Hardy b. Armando Estrada in a squash non-title match. Hardy hit Twist of Fate in the center of the ring followed by the pinfall.

After the match, Theodore Long tells the referee to stay in the ring and that he wanted to give Armando one more chance to prove himself as an ECW superstar. Colin Delaney hits the ring.

Colin Delaney (with Matt Hardy) b. Armando Estrada. Another short match as Colin stole the win by grabbing the tights of Estrada.

Backstage, after a commercial break, Estrada pleaded with Long for his job. Teddy tells him that he will keep him but as a non-contract wrestler that he will have to earn his contract just like Colin Delaney had too. Ron Simmons entered the segment and let out a "DAMN!"

ECW Champion Kane b. CM Punk in a non-title match. The ending sequence featured Punk blocking Kane's chokeslam and trying to hit Go To Sleep, however, Kane was able to slip out and hit his chokeslam followed by the pin.

After the match, WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz and John Morrison hit the ring and attacked Kane. Kane nearly hit a double chokeslam but they are able to kick Kane away and Miz is able to hit a swinging neckbreaker. Morrison and Miz celebrated as ECW went off the air.
